Born in Montreal, Canada, when Tanya Privé was barely six years old, she watched and learned as her father had an epiphany, sold his technology chip business, and founded his own transformational consulting firm, which focuses on human performance within organizations. By the tender age of eight, Tanya had already taken her first self-development course about how to not let your experience limit you in the present, followed by another one when she was fifteen, which gave way to her becoming a coach at seventeen. By then her family had already moved to the United States, where Tanya took an interest in the fashion world, moved to New York, and graduated with a Design and Management degree from Parsons School of Design. Thereafter, she landed a job at Forbes where she was accountable for one-third of the entire ad revenue budget of one of its properties, in addition to audience growth, and received promotions on a yearly basis, and later moved on to FOX News where she was accountable for driving ad revenue sales and strategy.
Over the last decade, Tanya surrendered to her entrepreneurial spirit and has successfully built some of the most outstanding platforms empowering entrepreneurs, including her most recent initiatives, two venture-backed companies (1000 Angels, an early stage venture investing platform and CoFoundersLab, a platform that supports entrepreneurs) of which, both were acquired. During her time as CEO of CoFoundersLab, she led four strategic acquisitions and grew the community of users 1,200 percent from 40,000 registered entrepreneurs to almost half a million with presence in more than two hundred countries. Her area of expertise lies in leadership, operations, growth strategies, and product development.
Meanwhile, Tanya has simultaneously racked up more than 1,000+ hours of self-development programs in the area of personal transformation and energy both as participant and coach. Specific training includes communication, leadership, strategic future creation, integrity, and ridding negative energy patterns. As one of her many ongoing endeavors, this is the one that has been key in her development and success, feeding into every aspect of her personal and business life.
Tanya continuously shares the lifelong principles and awareness she has acquired by writing thought leadership pieces around entrepreneurship, leadership, and venture investing published on top tier media publications, such as Forbes, Huffington Post, and Inc. Magazine, that have been read by millions. Furthermore, she has also been invited to speak at some of the most sought out industry events, such as the Women Inc. Summit, Tech Week, and events organized by Founder Institute. In addition to being a successful entrepreneur and self-development leader, Tanya is a loving wife and a proud mother to her three daughters, who have taught her the healing power of love.
